With the start of the Camp-In season rapidly approaching, we just recently had our first guests of the season arrive: our inaugural shipment of tadpoles! I wasn't around the last time the tadpole theme took place, so it was very exciting to realize that the process I'm going through right now, of observing the tadpole cycle for the first time, is the very same thing that our campers will be going through in the coming months.
In addition to experiencing the metamorphosis for the first time, I'm also learning a lot about the process of caring for the tadpoles, albeit on a much larger scale than any of our campers will be. In the coming weeks we will have thousands of tadpoles swimming around in our workshop room, and while that does seem a bit daunting, it will all be worth it when we give that first Girl Scout her own tadpole and her face lights up. I hope you're all as excited for the upcoming season as I am!
